Hi all :)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Thank you for having me on the forum. Bear with me while I navigate through the site.

I'm based in Perth but came from QLD originally and still get back there to catch up with the folks (and see what the latest rainfall is).

I have a 4ft planted tank with community fish, angel fish, bn catfish and yo yo loaches. Tank is CO2 injected (high tech) but at plants I'm somewhat of a brown thumb. This tank has been going several years now although I'd love to replace it with something bigger.

Hoping to learn more and contribute.

Nice setup for the community tank Look nice with some pepp bn's

Hi' date=' sounds nice!

Sorry I missed this as the app wasn't working.

Update:

Ended up going to get some replacement yo yo loaches and came out with rosy barbs, serpae tetras and a betta... Almost stuck to the plan, grr. Betta in a 6 gallon.

Put two large packets of API laterite gravel in DT, replanted giant hygro and sorted out co2 reactor which was making a terrible noise. Wondering if I should get another just in case this one goes.

Plants are doing better with more co2 and potassium. That and glut dosing is starting to prune back the algae. Plants look better but still some algae and curled lower leaves. But progress. So glad I got the co2 going now.
