Bio_Home Posted February 25, 2015 Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 Hi people, Sometimes the water out of my tap smells very strong due to stronger dose of chlorine. Can you harm fish if you overdose the water with water conditioners / de-chlorinators. I am thinking to double the dose recommended on the bottle all the time just as insurance policy but not sure if it will harm the fish if I overdose. The Tech Den Posted February 25, 2015 Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 I have dosed up to 5 times the suggested rate with Supachlor with L-Numbers with no visual effect on them and they are considered more temperamental than a lot of fish. Mitch.0 Posted March 4, 2015 Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 Im also very heavy handed with Tech Dens Supachlor on my tangs, sometimes up to 4 x recommended dosage. Not because its weak but because I would prefer to be safe than sorry especially with the crazy weather we get in Brisbane, never know whats in the water at times. I have never had a problem either.
