saczel
The dodgy turds are not a good sign. He does not look happy, it could be he already had worms and the change of conditions caused a bit of stress and brought it on. First check water condition, ph etc and maybe go flat out with air stones to make sure it is well oxygenated. If he is in the same tank with others it could be bad for them, otherwise quarantine and use a wormer. The sooner the better. Any other obvious injuries etc? I have not had americans before so am just guessing. Edited February 27, 2015 by saczel

saczel
Probably a good idea to make sure there is heaps of oxygen in the water. A decent air stone to bump the levels up. Good to see the fresh water perked him up, that's what makes me think oxygen.
