lgw
I'm hoping to get some pics and videos posted from my pond ( see thread in pond section ). I'm in the process of picking a camera for some underwater shots in the coming weeks. Stay tuned But for now... Here's a short uneventful clip of the gang. Cheers Thanks mate, your gpg adventure definitely inspired me to go ahead with it and your advice was greatly appreciated! There's been a bit of lip locking happening between the biggest two, nothing to worry about though. Looking forward to capturing it all on their level! goldenswimmers
great stuff mate ...just a thought but Id be careful with any driftwood or anything potentially sharp especially with Oscars and other big fish that have interior decorating ideas...only takes a small tear and you come home to a nightmare

The first night I had the wood in there, I woke up around 3am dreaming that it might pop through the liner. So I got the sand paper out and made the points rounded lol... lgw
So here's my first under water video, not sure why it uploaded in such poor quality. I'll have a play and see if I can sort it out for the next one. If you turn up the volume, you can hear the oscars crunching the pellets Cheers! lgw
I think you have already mentioned this but how are you filtering it? Sponge on top, followed by marine pure spheres and 2500lph pump at the bottom.

lgw
Just took this quick video, still uploading in poor quality without the option to change it. Might try something other than YouTube. I managed to get the rivulatus in this one, however the flash completely washes him out. Believe it or not, his lips and facial markings are a really vibrant blue and his tail is a nice thick white. Here it is..
Grover65k
Cool!! Put the camera underwater and then drop a few earthworms in front of it :-))) Keep going with videos - it does get a bit easier as you have more practice! Cheers Grover
danfishy84
Brilliant watching big fish with some room.
lgw
Brilliant watching big fish with some room. The difference in temperament compared to cramming them in a 4 foot tank is huge. They are really chilled out and generally spend the day cruising around in a school.

lgw
This is a new guy I picked up yesterday, he/she is the largest of the lot. The wounds you can see near its gills and upper body were caused from me dropping it onto the side of the bucket I was trying to check its gender, which it didn't like at all and jumped for safety. Grover65k
He's (?) a very good size. And yes, I've done "fumble-fingers" with gouramii and Oscars. They are exciting to handle once they get to monster size. You need monster landing net (with soft rubbery silicone mesh) and lotsa patience LOL Edited June 19, 2015 by Grover65k
