Need plastic strips to hold glass lids

Recommended Posts

You mean what support and hold the glass up? Most times it is usually glass. Acrylic could work, much easier to cut to size than glass. But If not a glazier would have scrap pieces of glass and if they wont cut it for you, buy a glass cutter from bunnings cheap as chips.

Thanks to everyone that has replied.I have been through Bunnings and can't find anything that would work. The strip that is on 1 tank is black, sits over the tank and goes right along the with the piece on the inside kicked up at right angles to hold the lid.

What Jc12 recommends seems OK and I have ordered 3 to try.

Peg wood spcer and strip together, run glue along plastic strip edge wait 1 minute til glue is tacky then fit to tank leave ovr nite. Remove peg wood and spacer. Shood be good to go.
