I was reading an article on sexing Peppermints and they reckon if you grab them and give there snout a rub where the bristles grow up the snout the Males should be spongy and Females should be solid, does anyone else sex there Peppermints like this or have any way of telling as pandapete and I used the good old by eye sight method today

Yeah it worked a charm for me and a lot of experienced breeders on the pleco facebook pages use it as the only method for sexing them. Seems like it is pretty accurate overall. I feel I have to wait until the females are around 9-10cm before accurately sexing them by looks but then again I haven't been keeping them for long.
