The cyano has almost all gone.... yeehaaaaaaaaa!!

a bit left on some of the liverock but not too bad,

its been an interesting and educational journey so far.

so much more challenging than cichlids, but hey.... thats evolution lol, but i still love cichlids too !

my latest mistake was dropping a butterfly fish in there..... well it started picking at polyps on some corals so it had to go.

and man..... what a frigg ing job it was to catch that frigg ing thing!!!

No butterflies ever Never again!!!

Oh ok, I dose with calcium chloride and epsom salts and bicarb weekly.

Calcium is 500ppm (salifert) , mag is 1400 (salifert), carbonate hardness is 10, ph a bit low at 8 but stable at that.

And yes the Aiptasia is annoying me too ...

you should remember it well.. it came from a display at Webber Drive.........

I have managed to kill a couple with a syringe and lemon juice but that one is a tuff bugger

Liquid, i think it was a Vagabond Butterfly

i have never hated one fish so much in all my life..... r.i.p. little butterfly......

Oh, Yeh not a great chaetodon for corals, shame a full on adult looks nice, but RIP, I don’t blame you at all, lol.

I mentioned something I have used in the past else where and holly smoke, lol, it was not well received, lol, a needle on a stick, no need to move anything in the tank and out of three times I used this way over heaps of years and only one went to RIP.

Some fish are tough.

I’ll be dammed, I just looked through the butterfly section and i have not included a pic of the vagabond? That’s slack, thanks for reminding me, I will put one in soon

It’s a pain hey, the fish that eat it bar one are not really reef safe and peps are mongrels to other small creatures when they get big. I am lucky my angels don’t touch my corals and they do not let any aps get going.
