Keeping the same ph without an r/o

Recommended Posts

Hi , just wondering if I do a 50% water change everyday , and I want my ph. To stay at 6 , and my tap water is at 6.8 , what is the best product , I know ph down etc works , but that's a lot of test then add them test and add etc , does discus buffer etc just keep the ph at 6 no matter how much u add ? As I'm am very busy is there a product that u can add that will give u the same result everytime

My first question is what fish. You mentioned Discus Buffer, so I am going to guess Discus.

Discus as far as soft water fish are concerted are actually pretty tough. I would concentrate on stability, and if you can have a stable H of 6.8, do that

When talking soft water pH is not the primary thing to look at. Look into gH and kH and then quickly move on to TDS.

^^^^^^ see above. I remember going to a meeting in Sydney of the discus society to learn about discus and could not understand why everyone was buying from the store hydrochloric acid. Asked the question and got schooled. Good old HCl.
