Lictoga
Looking at getting a led light for fish only, won't be getting plants in this tank. i currently have a aqua something's led with white and blues that kinda washes out fish colours and compared to when in sunlight the difference is stupid. so looking for suggestions on a 3ft light for fish colours

Donny@ageofaquariums
I just run one of these in the cupboard. Lights up whole house without even needing an led.

Lictoga
Makemyled.com.au Was thinking about them, just not sold on the build quality. They seem a bit plastic and breakable to me. If you have them let me know what you think
pony-tail
BeamsWork are a cheap plastic light with plenty of light for fish only and not so much as to cause huge algae booms I used them when I was breeding 'Tangs and they did the job .one of the sponsors sell them - can't remember which one . I have a couple of 4ft and a couple of 3ft but unfortunately too far away . But I can recommend them as suitable for purpose though . They can be found on eBay too - Do not buy their marine one as they will cause extreme algae problems .
aquatic7
Just bought a 4ft Beamsworks RGB from Aquaholics to run on my Ellioti tank, this really makes the colours POP and a great price to go as well. Welcome to view if you wish.

s1l3nt
Was thinking about them, just not sold on the build quality. They seem a bit plastic and breakable to me. If you have them let me know what you think Build quality is good IMO. I have them on 3 different tanks now, and very pleased with them. They are not plastic, the heat sink half is aluminium so it actually acts like a heat sink for the LEDs rather than plastic. If you are concerned, shoot Fred an email he is very helpful. I found their support, product and after sales support very good personally as have numerous others I know. Happy to shoot you some pics if you want? Just PM me what you want to see
