Lammergeier
I'm giving some serious thought to getting one of these guys. Anyone know of any place in VIC that ever stocks them? Or failing that, any freshwater Aussie tropicals that get to around the same size as coal grunters (30cm or so) that'd be worth looking into? My main fishkeeping background's with American cichlids and I'm finding info on Aussie natives is harder to come by than I thought it'd be. none
Your best bet would be to make enquiries with shops in Vic or keep an eye on the Aquarium Industries website. Small juveniles (hatchery bred) are available from time to time. Large fish rarely. Sooty Grunter are an excellent display fish that get super tame. They get bigger than 30cm though. Lammergeier
Cheers for the advice. I'll keep an eye out on there. Sooty grunters are another great option but at the moment I don't have the space to house one, which is a bit of a bummer.
Sclero p
Ausyfish was the only supplier. Try them.
