ORANGEMELLY
I will be moving my oscar and chocolate into a 700L tank soon...and I was contemplating having no substrate...so I am glad you posted those pics...I'm not sure if I like or not...but I know that it would make keeping the tank clean a lot easier....I have a large 4ft long and twisted piece of driftwood to which I will be attaching anubias and java fern and I wanted to experiment with plants in pots buried and disguised with rocks ....hmmmmm.....you have given me a lot to think about.....by the way I love your albino red...hope mine grows up to be just as nice.. <<<this is "Honey". Plants are just silk plants anchored down by resin coated lead I think or something similar, the Oscars throw them around the tank now and then. Would be very difficult to keep real plants with them. Nice looking oscar you have mate. Looking forward to pics of honey when it is bigger!! I much prefer no substrate easy to clean and when the dart around the Tank for whatever reason they don't throw substrate into the water coloum potentially ending up in the filter. I used to have sand but it would always get pushed around the tank exposing the bottom in places anyway. However I think it's completely up to an individual as to what they prefer. If you like substrate just put it in simple as that. Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk
