Is yours the same as this, this one is endemic to east aus, more so south barrier reef to moreton bay to northern NSW and it is a bruiser! Check out it's weapons,eerrrrr sort of like a mantis! This one was only named; I think it was in the 80s.

I will see if my camera can get a good pic of an adult males weapons one day.

Nothing else will reproduce well sexually if they are abundant.

When I clean settling filters let alone my amph traps, the pic that follows is part of what comes from just one settling barrier, there are a heap more in the chambers as well, maybe 25 whoppers to 40 regulars each day, good tucker for my fish. When I put them in for food, the whiptail and forcepiger go nuts for them.

Awsome thank god for that! when I saw them last night scattered over the vary thin layer of sand(and I mean u can see bottom of tank glass it's that thin) I though just as I'm having great success iv now encountered bad luck but that's great to hear. So it's a sign of the tank mateuring. Well I'm stoked cheers everyone
