Arnos
I'm looking at purchasing some plecos but one of the L202 has lost 1 eye and the other has pop eye he's 7.5cms and was wondering if it's worth getting him
benno87
Geez that sucks for the poor fella, I wouldn't be bothering mate unless whoever has it now manages to salvage it's one eye which may not be very likely by the looks of things. Don't wanna be introducing anything nasty to your own tank. Not sure what a plecos quality of life would be like missing both eyes someone else may be able to chime in there. But yea if it were me I'd be seriously tempted to euthanise a fish that had lost both eyes from disease. That just my opinion tho.
Arnos
Yeh I'm a bit worried about him she said it was from fighting with rainbows and has been in a tank with multicure for a few months!!!im leaning towards just getting the others I've never had to treat it before
smicko
I wouldn't buy anything from the tank that's in and I would have to look very hard at any other tanks. Do some research on popeye and you will see its caused by poor water quality and it has to be pretty extreme to lose an eye from it. This does not happen from fighting with rainbows and a pleco and rainbow wouldn't fight. One's a bottom dweller on the other hangs around the top of the tank, I've had a few rainbow tanks with L numbers and bn never had any trouble with them fighting each other, they are both pretty chilled fish. Arnos
Cheers mick I'm mainly after her L002 but they have all come out of the same tank I was a bit sceptical about it that why I thought I'd get some advise I've never come across it to now and it's a 2hr drive for me to pick up looks like I may pass on them
smicko
There is plenty of L number breeders on here. Put up a wtb or have a look through the breeders registry and I'm sure you will find some. Cheers mick
