davidjewitt93
Hey anyone know somewhere to catch honey blue eyes or want to swap some for something? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
pony-tail
Very illegal to catch from wild illegal to sell - They are a protected species . A few Angfa guys have them and share them around so they can be bred and kept in the hobby . They are very short on the ground and not likely to be given out just for a display . Please only get them if you intend to breed them as if people missuse the loop hole that allows a few to be kept - it will close !

thatsright99
In qld you can gift them to someone, and I'm sure you can buy them in NSW.
BettaSphynx
In qld you can gift them to someone, and I'm sure you can buy them in NSW. Yes, you can purchase them in any other state EXCEPT Queensland. In QLD you cannot catch from the wild. You cannot trade or swap, only give as a gift. There is no such thing as a licence to keep and sell them. Offering them as a "gift" when you buy other items is also illegal. Makes sense? Of course not - it's the a government ruling. pony-tail
Try any NSW wholesaler and the online stores - If legal in other states you may be able to purchase them from there and have them shipped .
grubby
Well that sucksSent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk Come to the next ANGFA meeting in October and ask around, most members have em and are happy to share some, provided you can prove that you intend to breed em and know what you are doing. I would give you some,, but I am trying to get a sustainable breeding population up at the moment.

grubby
Well the next ANGFA meeting is October the 9th, so get your tank/pond ready. If I were you I would put out a request on the ANGFA area of this forum and request some HBs. That way you can arrange to collect at the meeting. Plenty of ANGFA people on here that keep HBs. One question, have you spawned or kept Rainbows/Blueyes/Rhads before ? This is important because anyone passing HBs on to you needs to be confident that you know what you are doing with them. They only have a few seasons worth of spawning in them before they stop breeding and to continue the species, people only want people who know what they are doing near them. Some people have no issues breeding these guys, other struggle. I must admit that although I have bred them, I have not been as successful as some or as successful as I have been with other Rainbow/Blue eye species. davidjewitt93
Nah never tried to breed anything. I might have a go before trying to get these. I was planning to set up a pond for them to breed and grow extra plants Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
grubby
Yeah that would be best, try breeding rhads or praecox they are very easy and saleable. Show your face at a few ANGFA meetings. Once you sorted that out you will be ready for HBs.
