loached
Hi there. I have a 2 foot tank with common Bristlenose and fan-tail guppies which I have had for at least 6 months. Over the past 4 weeks I have added 8 Coolie loaches and 8 Pakistani loaches. I do regular water changes and I have a external canister filter running. I feed the fish Hikari Algae wafers,Sera Flora vegetable flakes along with Lebanese cucumber or zucchini. My problem is that the loaches are dying and I am wondering if they need a different diet even though the LFS said what I was current;y using was fine. I didn't know if feeding bloodworms would be good in-case the bristlenose were eating them also? Thanks in advance
Donny@ageofaquariums
You are onto it. I like feeding some spectrum pellets and frozen brine shrimp. Helps keep the loaches fat, and should be fine with other fish too. If you wanted an insane option.... you could infest tank with snails..... free meat for loaches and snails would be happy with veggies. But yea.... insane. Delapool
Any symptoms when they die? Agreeing with above. Just seems odd to have that many lost. I assume your tap(?) water used for water changes is fine?
Donny@ageofaquariums
Hmmmm..... they would be skinny if its starvation...... as above they are delicate to certain types of water contamination e.g. copper.

Donny@ageofaquariums if loaches are scaleless which im not sure of would full dosing with treatments knock them over? Not saying that theres been any meds put in the tank more a question
Donny@ageofaquariums
It can. But it also makes them more sensitive to all sorts of chems.
