Bloated bristlenose

Recommended Posts

Just noticed one of my young albino bristlenose has got a massive stomach.

Its too young to be with eggs so Im thinking that it might be some kind of diseases.

Has anyone experience this problem?

If so what is the best way to cure this disease.

Also let me know if im being paranoid.

Cheers

you need to have an adult in with them for the first few months of their life to get their bacteria cycle in there digestive sytem underway, this happens by eating mum or dads poo...........and its essential to have drift wood in there for them also

and what are you feeding them currently?? premiumly they should be on boiled zuchinni

hth

Thanks Christo.

Im currently feeding them zuchinni, not boiled.

I also give them brine shrimp and blood worm once a week and frozen peas with the shell taken off. Can you recommend anything else?

The others seem to be doing OK, there's just this one that has the big stomach.

Maybe I should just move it to another tank?
