Lockymck
Hi all. I have had these plants for a couple of weeks now (my first endevour into plants) and have noticed a big growth in the roots. My questions are, Should the roots be trimmed? Is it normal for anubias roots to grow this way? Will they try to bury into my substrate( pool filter sand) and if so, is this ok for the plants? sent from sony xperia via tapatalk
Donny@ageofaquariums
Sign of healthy growth. It just wants to attach to wood. Dont bury roots in sand.
Lockymck
Thanks. Should i pull the roots up onto the wood and tie them there? sent from sony xperia via tapatalk
bluebelle
Leave them alone, they'll find their way where they want to go. Normal roots are dark. You must have some strong lights on your tank for roots to turn green as shown.
Lockymck
I have had a tropical and a daylight fleuro on the tank for 5 hrs a day since putting plants in. My new RGB "pink" LED arrived today. It is a much duller, more pink light. Apparently better for my plants. sent from sony xperia via tapatalk
