Craigo
Evening all. Following on from my system crash post. I have finally pulled all the media from the sump, hosed put & will leave sump in sunlight for a day or 2. I managed to snap some pics for I.D & help to irradiate them from the sump if any do survive & start reproducing in the sump again. the ones in the bottom little bit of water in the sump were ok & reproducing, the ones caught jap mat & sponge were all dried out & crusty, definitely dead, will time in sunlight dry out & kill the last of these buggers?, I am also willing to treat sump & media with chemicals to rid of snails. Any help appreciated.
PETFISH
look like common pond snails, blue planet snail rid is very effective but can't be used if you want to have shrimp in the tank as it is copper based.

peter m
Lictoga does kusuri wormer kill snails? if it does maybe that is why one of my tanks that had snails is now snail free.
grubby
Eradicating them would be better Irradiating them might create giant super snails of Godzilla proportions, no one wants that.
