Rhad breeding register

Recommended Posts

I am keen to get a list of what morphs and catchments of Rhadinocentrus Ornatus people are keeping/breeding/raising fry. So we have some sort of log of what everyone has. Will try to get something similar running on the ANGFA forum and possibly Aquarium Life ( I don't like my chances as they are a pack of bell ends at the best of times), but thought we would start here. Mods if this is productive, could we have this as a sticky please.

Ok anyway I will start off.

Bribie Island, currently breeding wild caught stock, and raising juvies.

Teewah Creek Red Morph f1's, currently breeding and raising juvies and fry.

Lennox heads f1's (need to confirm) currently breeding and raising juvies and fry.

Seary's Creek,F2's blue morph. Just keeping at present time in fish room.

Stradbroke Island, Just keeping at present time in fish room.

Eprapah Creek Recently acquired, still conditioning.

Ok what have you got.

Anyone got these ? Carland Creeks, stunning eh.

I was just looking at Gunthers e-publication ( which he wants to do a hard copy of and is looking at numbers, so speak up people, the more we get the cheaper) anyway there was a stunning image of some Fraser Island and Moreton Island Rhads on there. Now I know they are both no go zones as far as collecting goes, but someone must have them if Gunther was able to photograph them. Anyone have them.

Im curious what these look like as my aunt lives near there and often walks in the conservation area.

Anyone got any pictures of Moggill Creek ones? Im in St Lucia so they would be the closest to me but their numbers are said to be very limited so I wont collect any.

I know its an old thread...

I started my rhad collection last summer.

I have Currumbin creek and Coochin creek locales.

Had some fry last Autumn but they disappeared over the winter.

Keen to add some other locales when it gets warmer.
