BOLT
I have been breeding blue velvets and other neo shrimp and I was hoping if I had the right perimeters for CRS. All these test results are from the Api test range. Shrimp tank 1: pH: 7.6 Ammonia: 0.25ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 0ppm GH: 17 KH: 2 Shrimp tank 2: pH: 7.8 Ammonia: 0.25ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 0ppm GH: 10 KH: 6 Other than then I know the pH has to be a lot lower, my tempt is around 23 and below. I also use boss aquaria mineral balls too if that's any useful info. Thanks
PETFISH
best to have ph @ 6-6.4 and kh 0-1 max, it will depend also on what perameters the ones you get are used to.

PETFISH
by using RO or rain water, macrapore gold will also help to soften water
smicko
Gh will also need to come down to around 5-6. You could use a mix of ro or rain and tap water to get the desired levels but if using straight ro or rain you may need to remineralise the water. As petfish mentioned it comes down to the parameters of the person you get them from, if you can match them it will give a better chance if success and less stress on the shrimp. Good luck and just remember that alot of people don't have success on the first try so don't get disheartened if it goes pear shaped.
