grubby
Just plain white bread is perfect, I used to use the bread we eat (wholemeal multigrain), but they prefer nasty old whitebread and go nuts for it.

rainbowrunner
we used to catch swordtails for feeders for my marines, with bread we would get 10-20 fish in a trap overnight but using halco saltwater catch scent we literally got hundreds

GotCrabs
Yeah as said above, I've read Vegemite and Bread or Bread on it's own, I'd be interested to see if Aniseed Oil would be useful also.

grubby
Bread is plenty. Although I would be interested in trying lure scent. I wonder if freshwater or saltwater is best ?

Sclero p
Best spray if you want to get males, the difference in the number of male fish trapped with the use of the attractant as opposed to without is well worth the extra cost. http://www.stimulate.com.au/home/stimulate/product.asp?pid=USRS-100G
