smicko
Let's talk losing fish, not dying more just disappearing. I went to move some longfin bn to another tank and one has disappeared. It's not the first time this has happened and I'm hoping I'm not alone, has anyone else lost fish? Cheers mick
stefjane
Oh BNs are expert hide and seekers so it could probably turn up sooner or later. But yeah I'm sure we have all lost fish mysteriously. Particularly if they're small they can die and get eaten/decompose without us noticing. Fish can also jump out of the tank and still travel a bit before dying. I once took a stick of my dog's mouth once and realised that it was a dried out Kuhlii loach! Sonofhud
Lost a few over the years. Sometimes you may find a bone? If they die in a hole or log the other's will eat them.

smicko
I'm hoping it will turn up but being a female it's pretty sucky. It has nowhere to hide, the only thing in that tank was a sponge filter and now it's empty. The worst tank is the marine, i have alot of snails, shrimp and a huge bristle star so if something dies in there it's gone by the morning but at least I don't get ammonia spikes from it. mbunamad I will make sure to turn you upside down and shake all the fish out next time you're here lol. Cheers mick
