Bubblegirl
Hi, I'm setting up an African tank and I want to have 5-6 Blue dolphins as the centrepiece. I was wondering what other fish go well with them? My tank is a 6x2x2 foot and minus gravel and rocks will be around 530 litres. Any suggestions about stocking densities. Also does anyone keep plecos with their Africans? Thanks in advance, Nicola
none
Electric Yellows, Blues, Red Empress, Peacocks, Lithobates - honestly the vast majority of Malawis available in Australia mix well with Dolphins. Just avoid any that get huge and particularly aggressive species. Yes many people keep Plecos for algae control. Regards
Jase86uxb
6x2x2 you could put a good amount of Africans in there mate... Like none said most all of the malawis ull find will be a good mix as long as you're aware there will be fights and aggression.... But you can try to combat that in a few different ways
Jase86uxb
As for stocking densities that will depend on your filtration and how often your wanting / whiling to do water changes

Goldie
I used to have electric yellows, and a range of peacocks with my blues. They seemed to get on well. The dolphins, as far as cichlids are concerned, are not hugely aggressive. At least, that was my experience - my experience has always been that cichlids are never all the same so it's hard to generalise!
