2ft tank

Recommended Posts

Hi guys im looking at getting the aqua one 2ft tank. I was wondering would it be at a sufficient enough size to sustain a few different rarer breeds of plec and have them grow to a breeding size? I am thinking of getting it and have some nice angels and plecs. Thanks guys!

When I had BN mine started breeding at around 6cm, had 1 male and 2 females, both females bred well, driftwood is a must, also some caves as well and as mentioned good filtration also, pretty easy to breed also, set the right temp, have the right WP, water changes once a week, all good to go.

I don't get this? I'm sorry if this upsets anyone, but you're thinking of buying expensive to very expensive fish, and stocking them in a single, small tank. Why do people, and this is not a go at the OP, but an observation made by some one else I am echoing, look at cheaping out on their tank/s when they are stocking hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of fish.

Joshwd I'm not that experienced with L Numbers, but some of the reading I have done, indicates that you have to be careful when stocking different species of L Numbers to make sure they have similar diets, as you don't want to mixing catfish that require a high protein diet with wood eaters in a small tank.

If I was considering buying and potentially breeding some of the rarer L numbers, I would be doing species only tanks.

i understand what you are talking about. i just want a nice habitat for them. then if they do grow large enough i will move to a separate tank to breed if i ever decide to. i will not be buying very expensive ones just a few cheaper ones. im doing it for looks.

I must have misunderstood the original post as usually when some one is talking about rarer plecos, you are usually talking high $$$ to $$$$.

all good. i just ment like pepperment bristlenose and some of the cheaper l series catfish below like $70
