pk333
This is a video that was taken at this year American Cichlid Association convention, presented by Al Sabeta the owner of Simply Discus. I've keyed the video to start where Al discusses what to look for when buying discus. Also when buying discus, we should look at the eye to head/body ratio. If the eyes look large compared to the rest of the head, this can be a sign of the discus being older than it's size would suggest, i.e stunted growth. Growing out large, round discus takes a fair bit of work, and best not done in a display/planted tank. Tank set up. How to grow out large, round discus. Delapool
I was thinking of discus next in a planted tank - might re-think that. Although not mucking around with plants could be nice.
