joller
Hi my fish are infected with camallanus worms i managed to pull one out of a heavily infested fish with tweezers. about 5mm long thing red worm I've been dosing kasuri wormer plus. which is flubendazole based. but the worm i just pulled out of this fish is still very much alive after 2 doses 4 days apart. i've been reading sites with conflicting information so any help from someone who has dealt with this before is very much appreciated. Thanks, Joel.
Lictoga
Try panacur 25. It's a sheep deworm, can get it from produce stores for around $50/L. 1ml treats 40L
smicko
I have used panacur and big L in combination to wipe them out. Panacur 25 @1ml per 40 litres Big L @1ml per 7 litres I dosed twice in a week then done a big gravel vac and waterchange. Panacur comes I'm different strengths so if you don't get 25 adjust the dose to suit. Cheers mick
lollies
Kusuri flubendazole wont kill worms immediately, they act via starving the worms in a few weeks time. For servere infection you can use what mention above pancur or big L.

joller
can anyone recommend an online supplier of both?
Donny@ageofaquariums
I find bigL gets the job done with no problem. Not sure why people think it just stuns them as that has never been my experience. Maybe different species/strains of the worm?

Pineapples
Any update on what worked? I just noticed one of my gobies has them. And from what I've read you basically need to clean everything and then start again which would mean recycling the tank is that correct? Pineapples
https://vimeo.com/153053108 Mainly from what I've read online reddish pink worm also that the fish looks skinny even though it's eating just fine. Let me know if you think otherwise. Being Australia Day there's not much I can do today anyway I was going to grab some Epsom salts and see if that helped the fish pass the worms. joller
Pineapples from the pics it looks like the same worms my fish had. I did water change then dosed kasuri and big L. Repeated after 4 days, and then again after another 4 days. With50% wc's .All visible signs of worms disappeared. The fish that were worst effected have fattened up again so I'm treating that as a win Got the kasuri wormer plus from http://livingreefaquariums.com.au Also the big l from a produce and horse shop
Pineapples
Ok great I'll try that I ordered Some big L online and it should be here Friday only problem is I'm off overseas for a few weeks on Sunday so won't be able to dose so often until I get back so I hope everything's ok. Do worms affect eggs? As they are due to hatch any day now too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
300Magnum
Hi all.....just to clarify, does Panacur etc also treat other internal parasites that cause sunken belly, white stringy poo etc, or is it only for worms?
spongebob
Sorry- forgot to mention- do not get the camel anus mixed up with the camel toe, this is a completely another subject altogether and needs extreme care to the point of getting advise from psychologist before even going near that area, very dangerous indeed, you have been warned unheeded advise can lead to----- MARRIAGE !!!
