Andrew1234
Hi, i am starting up a 300 liter planted aquarium. What fertilizers and what brands are best for plant growth? Also what equipment is needed for plants? I am planning on purchasing a Co2 system and fluorescent tubing for lights.
Matt2000
Have you thought about having dirted substrate? Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
Heintz.G
It all depends on the type of plants you want. Low light. Medium light. High light. Or a mix of all of the above.
ageofaquariums
Yep, planted tanks are just like reefs in that the stock decides the optimal equipment choice. The other big thing to keep in mind is balance. You want nutrients, CO2 and lighting to be in balance. Too much or little of either will cause problems. And nature usually fixes such problems with an algae bloom.
bluebelle
Your best bet is go see someone who is running planted tanks. See their setup and get to know what plants and fish you like. There are easy ways or very expensive ones to set up a planted tank. Usually people are happy to share their experiences.
