What kind of fish is this?

Recommended Posts

About an inch I thought maybe some type of gudgeon. I was looking at the empire gudgeons online right now it's hard to tell. I've also found midgley's carp gudgeon looks similar.

Does anyone know what kind of temperament these guys have?

I also picked up some tiny little fish that seems quite aggressive for its size I now think are Gambusia I think I'm going to put them in my plant how out tank (no other fish)

Thanks mate.

Would they be ok in a community tank?

Gambusia are in a bucket Awaiting their fate after reading up on them.

Does that mean they would both be females? I googled empire gudgeon and the male has a lot of colour these guys are pretty pale

Ok I've got them in my 'quarantine' 27L bucket but was thinking to put them in with my endlers, peppermints, Platys, rasboras, and desert gobies will that be fine? Is there anything I need to do first?

Desert Gobies will not like another lower tank inhabitant. Empires are very hardy - will eat small shrimp and small fish like baby guppies.
