pH testers api vs Electronic

Recommended Posts

fair enough,i could i guess, where do you get your testers?

i live in Springfield and our water comes out of the tap at 8.4, I've got two nano tropical tanks and need 6.4-7.2ish and find myself constantly testing water.

I have two buckets in the garage with air stones so i away have water when i need it but the API kit is a such a pain.

any tips?

I've had the hardness tested and was told was normal, dint get told a number though, i was trying to use rain water but my rain tank fills up from mains water anyway.

There is a thread in the Articles & FAQs section: A note on pH meters

It contains the information about how to care for and calibrate a pH meter and pros and cons in comparison to liquid test kits

Thats like getting water tested and being told 'its fine'.

Really tells you very little.

How much of that ph reading is kh and how much gh?

Different approaches for both.
