What Makes a Nano a Nano?

Recommended Posts

How longs a piece of string?

sort of just a jargon term. Most people would agree anything less than a 2 foot could be considered nano..

Is the nano half empty or half full?

edit: although if it's too small to fit a filter of some sort it moves into the 'beverage' category imo

I always think of it as the smallest possible tank that you would reasonably put a small clown fish into. But being described by a drunk person, who is trying to say Nemo.

Seriously though according to this website the word Nano comes from the Greek word Nanos which means dwarf. Sounds like they might be onto something.

Nano tanks, or Nanu tanks as they are correctly pronounced - shortened from nanu nanu, were introduced by Orson via his mate Mork.

Am sure someone somewhere is laughing at us calling any smaller sized tank a nano tank.

Now that we've gotten to the bottom of this nano business let's get to work categorising all tank sizes into hard defined groups. How many litres is an 'ocean'
