Today is the start of the setup for the EKKA Aquarium Competition.

Judging on Wednesday and the EKKA open Friday.

Position has changed and the display is 18 stands compared to 13 last year.

This year it is still under the new convention center but right up the back.

Something like 120 entries. Largest number in the EKKA for more than 10 years.

Largest class this year is Goldfish with 34 entries.

New Breeders Team and Nano Tank classes as well.

Looks like being a great show.

Graeme

Good pic of the champ! I'm so envious of those who can attend the show. Can anyone post more photos of the winning exhibits, especially interested in class 3, 18, 19 & 23? Pretty please?

Best ask graham... but yes, the 3 ways you asked are 3 diff categories. Per fish, you have size, finage, colour, deportment maybe something else. Highest score wins. Mine was marked down because colour wasn't fully showing ( I only got it out of the main tank 2 days before lol. It should've been setup months in advance...so I can't complain too much )

Then the other classes are similar. But there's diff judgeing criteria for each like layout of plants-wood ect interaction between the fishes, compatability thereof, landscaping ect ect.

Graham should have judging criteria or one of the other stewards

Thanks. We enjoyed looking at them all. The colours of the cardinal tetras were amazing.
