Killa
Howdy, So, I need a few ideas here. I have two tanks at present. In my planted community tank I have loaches, balas, a small rainbow shark, a large sailfin pleco and a hive of bristlenose. To my disgust my girlfriend introduced 3 cichlids. I let it go for a while to not insult her but I really want to get rid of them. She is putting up a fight because they add colour to the tank. What are some fish I can get that are really colourful, active in the tank foreground and will work with my current tankmates so I can talk her into replacing the cichlids? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Heintz.G
A school of Cardinal Tetras + a small school of black Neon Tetras for contrast, would look good.
Killa
Sounds great. I have Cardinal, harlequinn and rummy nose in with my discus tank. I love them for a very lively colourful school.

Killa
I've only seen Juvie german rams at my lfs, do they mature to more colour? I love dwarf gouramis but the mrs isn't sold on them, IDK why. Tank in question is 250L
inkevnito
Not too sure if they have more colour as they mature, i have only ever seen matured. but i would assume they have more colour when they age.. Killifish would be nice too but i would imagine your local fish stores wouldnt have them?

When they are very young they actually have bars and no colour and whenever they are in lfs's they seem to have very washed out colour...
Killa
I've always overlooked the Rams just because of what I've seen in my LFS
