LAJC2012 Posted November 20, 2009 Report Share Posted November 20, 2009 Picked up 2 small Jack Dempseys from Ronny last Sunday and on Wednesday night the girl laid a heap of eggs!! talk about fast, not only did we think they were too small to breed, but they hardly got a chance to settle into their home. The Male got really agressive on wednesday and starting shaking and carrying on, a few nips out of the females fins, but nothing serious at all. Now that the eggs are out on the rock the roles have been reversed, the female is beating up on the male. As they are the only fish in the tank, i will leave them in there for as long as I can with the parents once they hatch, before moving them to their own tank. A pic of the Male..... I honestly thought they would have been another 3 months off breeding. Congrats on the spawn tho mate i hope they become good parents for you.
