I have a bit of a blue eye fetish - and 2 spare two footer outside waiting for something to cathc my eye. (unless they end up insdie with dwarfs).

I like the honey blue eyes but have never seen them offered for sale.

So who can fill me in on blue eyes in terms of breeding, availability etc.????

Anyone?

Steve

because honey blue eye's are an endangered species it's illegal to sell them therefore u will never see them advertised. having said that, they are around and available but the ppl who have them are very reluctant to part with them unless they know and are sure they are going to someone who has done their research and has a suitable place to keep them. most ppl prefer them to go in a pond which is the problem i had. also some prefer to swap fish for them as they can't be sold (which i think is fair) but the ppl who have them are more interested in in swapping for natives rather than cichlids. unfortunately it is also illegal to catch them :(

p. furcatus are really nice alternative but are also hard to come by but should be able to get ordered through ur lfs.
