WTB Darwin Algae Shrimp

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Im looking to buy some Darwin Algae Shrimp, preferably the red nose version.

I'm wondering if anyone can point me to the right direction in Brisbane?

They're a big bigger from what I know and hopefully my neon tetras will not pick on them like they did with all my cherry shrimp.

Thank you!

Darwin Algae Shrimp (DAS) unfortunately they are near impossible to breed due to their larvae stage requiring brackish water and green diatoms... I doubt you'll find a reliable source in Brisbane.

Darwin Red Nose (DRN) shrimp however could be bred (not prolific) in freshwater and again I doubt you'll find a reliable source in Brisbane.

Best source I know of is Dave from Aquagreen in NT. https://www.aquagreen.com.au/catalog.html
