Dizzy-D
Hello to everybody. I am currently in the middle of moving fish from tank to tank and had a quick question. Do you think it will be sufficient enough to run 1 large sponge filter and a 12inch airstone on a 6x2x2 for 24 hours to 48 hours? Whilst i take the FX5 out and fit it to my new tank. Personally i thought it should be fine, but wanted to get a few opinions on the matter first before completing it. Any comments on the matter welcomed. Oh and the tank is not overly stocked a few large size fish (decorus, eupterus, ghost knife, archer, bumblee bee catfish) and medium size (geos, m.vittatus, congo tetra) Cheers Dizzy
EddieSalita
It will be fine. Provided you do one very important thing. Dont feed them for 2 or three days before hand, and dont feed them for the 24-48 hours they are without the proper filter. Sponges are good biologically, but you can be sure you will have no spikes if your fish arent crapping. No crap, no ammonia. Jason
Dizzy-D
Thanks for the reply Jason. All went well overnight and throughout the day. The fish are now happily swimming around in their new home Cheers Dizzy
