Returning after a long time.

Recommended Posts

Hi. Just thinking about turning my 1500l Ex Marine tank into a fresh water tank. I have taken everything out and it is full of fresh.

What are the latest metas now for Fresh?

I have a massive sump. Should I just fill it with Matrix or is every 1 using the cubes?

Are trickles still a thing?

I would like to set up a Frontosa display/ 2400 x 750 x 700.

Would 100 fit in it?

Filter media in my sump - I use anything and everything.  If your sump did marine it will do fresh, with almost any media.

trickles are still a thing, but I like the concept of k1 media types.

Yeah my old Live rock was in my marine for 15 years. Worried it maybe storing Po4 ect.

Where is every 1 buying their media these days?

Is there still local breeders who sell fish as well?

I wouldn’t put 100 Frontosa in you have to realise they can get to 35+ cms when fully grown id put 20 - 30 and thin the Males out when big enough to sex.
