dave44
hey everyone....i am setting up a fish room with 6 4x2x2 tanks (which are split in half with a divider..so really 12 2x2x2's). I have the filration side of things figured out, but it can get cold where i live at times. So i am after suggetions on how to keep the water heated comfortably for the fish....without paying the national debt in power bills!!!!
mad-n-angry
if you have them on a sump just heat the tanks from the sump with 1 heater if all single tanks put styrafoam around as much of the tanks as possible and use lids seal the room and insulate the room
LAJC2012
I hear that it can get damn cold at dave4jay...... and yeah, what mad n angry said, heat the sump. Polystyrene sheets around the tank works well too, thats how i did the tanks that werent on the sump system, when i lived up in the mountains near Maleny where it got bloody cold.
