Hodgy300
So guys i have been contemplating getting a marine tank setup for a while and ive decided im gonna do it, althougth i am sorta new to saltwater. What is the best option to go, an all in one nano setup or a 3/4fter and build from then with the filters etc. Thoughts would be greatly appreciated because i am still unsure on what to get. Thnx guys.
odog123
Hey mate NO way would i go a nano for a first tank they are not easy because of the small volume of warter it only takes a little spike of something to kill everything. If i was you i would go for the biggest i could get and also remember at this time of the year the temp is going to be a drama, if it is not in a air-conditioned room. The hard part with salt is all of the add on's for the tank it is not as simple as add a mechanical filter and a air stone. Do you plan on a mini reef of just a fish only tank? Kind regards Andrew

Merto
my biggest tip would be buy as big as you can afford, i dnt mean just the tank, i mean the biggest complete setup you can afford as you'll thanks yourself in the long run! do lots of research on what you want to keep etc and what equipment would be best, and also find the cheapest places to buy it all, theres a few on the net
stuwalters
Join MASA and have a look at there classified ads for a full setup, cheaper that way than buying all separate. http://www.masa.asn.au
