savage_roo
I don't see any problems as long as U don't put the lid on during the day or u might over heat the water so a pice of shade cloth just to keep the birds out should be good I have a pond under the stars at my place and i just run a canister filter in it So may be a bit of duck weed would also help keep the elgy down and give the bn's somthing elce to chew on Roo

mangrovedave
birds will eat all your fish, take them to local rivers and infest with BN. ect. buy a 1000L tank for $100. thoes tanks only hold 100L they are shit.
ronny
in my experience bn prefer a larger surface area rather than volume so shallow tanks work greater, they arent open water fish. Also if its laying around doing nothing why not go for it, cost $0 as opposed to purchasing something else. They seem like they would be great for bn however they take alot of room up and making a tier stand is not as straight forward as for a rectangular object. noyakfat
not experienced in breeding BN myself, but i think a lot of breeders like the ease of cleaning a tank/enclosure that has no substrate. just provide ample cover in the form of logs, pvc or whatever and a good source of tucker and keep the water clean????? go for it
Braddo
Yeah no problems using these I have even used the ones made fromt he blue tarpolin material. I find the bird statement a bit far fetched as any bird that takes fish want to eat them and will kill them before they fly far enough unless the creek is next door of course. whiteknight
one problem with these is they split easy so b carful with them , imo would be better going for a bathtub ect cheap as and take up less room and hold more water ,also there easy to make a nice stand for them to cover the bath part of it so look neat Terry
