Hey Matt

Unfortunately it is illegal to transport tadpoles from another place to your pond, even if it's just from the creek down the road. The legal/best way is to make your pond accomodating and make them come to you.

You might not see a lot of frogs around at this time of year.

As it gets colder the nice fat frogs go into a stasis and hibernate thru the nasty part of winter.

Create an area where frogs can come for a little dip in a small container and set it under an outside light or near your windows where light can shine out and the frogs will come eventually.

If you have toads in your area you may want to consider a raised lip pond where toads cannot jump in. Also make sure its safe around toddlers, even if they aren't yours. I have mine fenced off with a high latch on the gate.
