BRISTLENOSE WATER QUALITY

Recommended Posts

im not really sure what your asking. they are the same as any fish really.

mine are about 26 deg, dunno the PH, dunno nitrate, nitrite or amonia (all should be 0 tho).

if you do regular waterchanges and filter cleans you shouldnt even need to check the water paramaters

to many water changes or taking to much water out on a water change will send your PH levels high. I try and keep my levels around 7.0 PH .. they can handle a little either side of this mark. but they are pretty hardy fish.

Hey tony,

In all of my breeding tanks I vary the temps ie Peppermints/Commons/ albino's and marbles I find I can get them to spawning when I drop there temp from the usual 26-27 down to 22 -23 mark. and I have my ph at 7.0 - 7.2 as for nitrate and amonia ??? I have never been to worried as I always put plants in my breed tanks (to help with Amonia) and I use internal filters.

If you are asking how to keep these in a community tank well again I do most the same except I keep temp at 26-27 constantly and keep ph at 7.0

Hope this helps

Johno
