Corydorus spawning

Recommended Posts

I gave a 3ft tank a dung out Sat, it contained about 60 Trillineatus young

I topped the tank up with water straight from the tap it was a bit parky

Sat afternoon and again Sun Morning the fish spawned on the glass

I removed the eggs with a razor blade and put them on Java Moss in a

shallow dish.

Congratulations on your spawn. Must be something in the air - my Sterbais spawned a few days ago, looking forward to raising some young 'uns. I hope to have a trio of Trilineatus to play with in a few weeks too.

Yeah, I agree with you Brian - a Cory thread! Hip, Hip....

Cheers,

Shaun

Who-hoo!

Love Trils!

Bluewatch - how do you keep your eggs from fungusing in the shallow dish?

I actually tried that with my sterbai's second batch - found an extra clutch on a leaf, so popped it into an icecream container, floated it- but all went bad?

The ones I stuck in a sieve on top of an airstone - 99% good.

Congrats too, Shaun!

Apparently we should expect a barometer drop this weekend, early next week - so predict more eggs from my lot.

Yep - I agree, we need a cory thread sticky.

Be good to see who's keeping/breeding what.

Hi.

I put the eggs on Java Moss and drop them in a small tank with water movement

On this occasion I had no tank ready due to my health problems

I have now put them in a tank,

I put 1 female and 2 males in a small tank give them a cold water change if they spawn

I take the adults out an use a small filter to push the water around.
