tim
Well..... all my fish are gone (apart from a sailfin, bristlenose, a maingano and a mono sebre) and I need to invest in a new filter. I have been advised on a Fluval but I am a new home owner with no money and the model to help my 250ltr tank is well out of reach. Just wanting to know if there are any other reliable brands/models that anyone can recommend that are more affordable? Otherwise i think I'll sell it all up. japes
Eheim 2217 would work a dream on a 250L tank. Should be able to pick up one of these for just over $200. If that breaks the budget, I'd look into the cheaper Aqua-One canisters or SunSuns/ReSuns.

djdl
Tim if you can wait till you have the money for a Fluval you won't be disappointed. I bought one a couple of months ago and couldn't believe the difference it made to my water quality. Haven't had any experience with Eheim, but from what I've heard they are awesome as well.
