Rusty
Ok, so i'm setting up a new tank (Thanks John) and where it is situated it's gonna get a bit of algae on my plants and i was wondering whether if i got some algae eating shrimp they would be compatible with geos, dwarfs and probably some bn. I've got a g. surinamensis and was thinking of getting some aragui, maybe a red hump, a rio and the dwarfs most likely rams. Cheers, Rusty

Rusty
Dang, oh well just gonna have to get a couple of bn, maybe some siamese algae eaters. Cheers, Rusty
japes
Maybe Ottos, not sure how they go with the medium sized Geo's, I think Briztoon keeps them though I don't think they're in a different tank.
briztoon
Yeah, Japes is right. I have 10 otocinclus in my 6footer with my G. araguaia orange heads and dwarf SA cichlids. Never had any issues with the geos trying to eat them. However, I would not try otos with the larger surinamensis, altifrons or rio brancos. Like most cichlids, if it fits in thier mouth, they'll try and eat it.
