Rusty
This is my new tank, thanks to john. I spent all afternoon planting it and it's finally done and i am really proud of it. I'm using seachem flourish and i'm hoping to make a diy co2 injector tomorrow, so hopefully it'll be really green and flourishing soon. Found the drifwood for 30 bucks, which i was chaffed about, and $30.00 worth of rock, the rest is basically slapped together anyway here come the pics. I'm just wondering whether i should get some black background, make the green stand out?
bryanm62
Nice job, looks great. The driftwood is really good. I like the combination of sand and gravel. Plenty of areas for fish to shelter but a nice expanse of sand area for them to display themselves also. Good balance.

japes
Very nice driftwood. I'd definitely go for the black background, will contrast well with the substrate and should make the green of the plants and the colours of the fish really stand out nicely. What's the planned stocking?
Rusty
Dwarfs and corys for the moment. Once the plants are more established some geos, namely surnamensis aragui and a rio, not sure which, probably whichever one is easiest to track down. Cheers, Rusty

Mathobes
Thats a cracker bit of driftwood!! I would go a black background, make the plants look even greener. Depending on how dark the driftwood gets, it could camouflage it a little bit when it matures. EDIT: just read the post date, I guess thy driftwood would be pretty mature by now...
