Hi Dumpie, As Japes said the first thing you should do is add more Cardinals - they look so much better in a large school. As far as Loaches go the Dwarf Chain Loach (Yasuhikatakia Sidthimunki) would be good but should be minimum group of 4. Yo-Yo Loaches (Botia Almorhae) or Polkadot Loaches (Botia Kubotai) are other possibilities but also only in groups of 3 or 4. I would not recomend getting Clown Loaches as they need a large tank as they can grow over a foot long.

Botia Loaches are pretty hardy but prefer good water quality through multiple filtration and weekly 25% water changes. As a matter of fact all your fish would like it. Sounds like a good mix of fish you have there and Loaches should fit in nicely.

Cheers Graeme.

its about a 80L tank so u suggest up to 10 or 12 would be a good number for the quality of life of the school

80 liters, so that's abot 2.5x1x1. Not a very large tank.

I think that is a lot of bn's for a tank that size.

What are you trying to achieve? A nice community tank, a bn breeding tank, etc.

Also what type of spiny eel do you have? Some grow to a decent size and are predators, so the tetras my end up as snacks.

wat do u suggest about my b/ns cuz my mate up the road is after some i could hock the commons off to him wat do u think? and the eel is a common spiney hes about 10cm atm and loving his little cave and blood worms but im upgrading tanks in about 2 months to a 4'x2'x2' im a glazier so im making it its going to be 8mm glass and dosnt the base have to be thicker? but either way a 4 footer will be much easyer to handle a wider varity of fish then my little one now wont it?
