why are cherry shrimp so expensive ?

Recommended Posts

Merkinater, love the small net trick - that's gold. Not sure if I'd let people swing nets around in my tanks though, brave man.

I only gave them away once I had emptied the tanks main occupants ;) I had a list of people who I knew would show up at a designated time to collect. I don't let just anyone fish in my tanks ;):egrin:

I don't quite understand how you arrive at that conclusion DFF. That photo was taken with a filter and was in the late afternoon which captured the lighting effect. This was taken from Bribie Island and the water you see there is the Pumicestone Passage. Rather proud of that pic actually.

So i have come to the conclusion that one should not mention Cherry Shrimp on an aquarist Forum just as one should not mention the war to a German lmao

the answer came early but the journey to the end was.......interesting

best answers and most logical were

1 supply and demand

2 if you don't like the price don't buy em

go the shrimp..

typical change the topic to avoid the reeeeeeeeeeeeeal conspiracy here.

That dinosaurs were wiped out by the BIG tobacco companies!

I think cherry shrimp have settled at the same price as convicts.

And rightly so.

$5 each for something awesome IS awesome.

the fact you can turn it into 100 of them with little work

well

thats also awesome.

Weird thread. One point that I noticed few, if anyone commented on. Some one kept asking why is something so small expensive. The size of something rarely has a bearing on it's value, unless it's in relation to other similar items.
