tmd77
Hey guys, As some of you may already know, I'm really keen to get something different to keep. I currently have the following fish; Maingano e. yellow alb pindani demasoni lombardoi elongatus mpanga common bn alb bn not really keen to keep afra's or anything more albino. Whatever they are, they will be going in a 2x18x18 with a pH of between 7.8 -8.2 I'm thinking a type of shellie or tang but not sure on what is out there. Something that isn't common. So please bombard me with suggestions! Thanks, Trent
damo83
If I had a spare tank i'd get some lamprologus meleagris Cool looking shelly that's easy enough to find but not too common...
fishgeek
i see a relative lack of red colouration.. how about red fin kadango? i had a really impressive male once, he was awesome... they aren't all that rare, i guess, but would add some variety.. or rhodesia? I saw some nice ones near my place only $12 i think. is there a reason you've avoided peacocks? there are heaps of different reds you can get in a peacock.. jacobfriebergi... reubin reds.. stuartgranti... ? (pardon my spelling) What about hump heads? i love hump heads, they are easy to pair up and are funny little characters.. ?
tmd77
the reason why i'm avoiding red fin kandangos and peacocks is because i only have a 2x18x18 tank to work with, so am restricted on size of fish. Sucks i know but have to work with what ya got. thanks so far... keep the suggestions coming! Trent

tmd77
Hey guys, thanks for all the suggestions. Have decided to go with calvus. havent decided to go with white or black yet. after all these ideas im thinking about turning my display into a tang tank... not sure yet... anyways cheers everyone, and if anyone has any arguements for whether to go white or black please add them! trent
HamzaLH
I think you'll find that the tank might be a little small for Calvus sub/adults ... It will be fine to grow our some smaller ones, but not mature fish ... If u like calvus try the Sumbus, they are a dwarf Alto that only grow to about 2 inchs or so ...
