deathzone
Hi All, I am looking for prices for a custom tank that will sit atop a bar I have the size off the tank is in the drawing below. This tank will be approximately 877L and is an L shape tank. Approximate glass width I believe will be 12mm but not 100% sure about this, Id rather be safe than sorry. If anyone can help me with prices please PM me. I may also be after a hood to fit also, but I should be able to source that hood myself Thanks, Peter. Rusty1
For some 1 local I would go and see Dennison at MaryAnne's Aquarium. Thats only if you want a quality tank build though. He doesnt make cheapies like A'r"US.
Dumpie
have u ever thought of seeing a glazier? and am i wrong by saying u want a L shaped tank?
deathzone
Yep I would like to get an L shaped tank, but prices maybe making me get two tanks. The prices quoted have been a little steep for my budget as of yet. I am still however waiting on a quote for a tank built in two halves, that will just need joining. And am also waiting on a quote for the cost of the glass alone. I am in no means in a hurry for this tank, but just trying to sort out my options. There is a good chance that the two tanks are going to be my best bet, and will still look good on the bar. Peter.

deathzone
Hey Guys, Found a nice price for the tank, so looks like it might be on the go ahead in the not so distant future (hopefully before X-Mas.. ). For a marine setup what sort of equipment would I be looking at needing? I will be starting off with having only fish in the beginning and slowly working towards corals etc... I have never had a marine tank but have had numerous amounts of freshwater fish.... My plan is to have the main viewing side as corals and slowly reduce it to clear open water on the other side (just like a reef I guess) The other plan is too put more Africans in there and try to recreate a shoreline effect (the cheaper option). Possibly will incorporate a small water fall feature at one end if I go freshwater. Also anyone know rough prices on Star fire glass, as I wouldn’t mind getting the front faces done with the clearer glass. Peter.
Moses
Starfire is approx 3 times dearer then normal float. Thats at cost price. Not sure how that transfers to retail price
